Being a native of India, Kal Patel was born in 1978. Whose parents migrated to the United States in 1979, where Kal was raised and schooled. Kal graduated college in 2001 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Savannah State University.
Being cultivated and groomed in the hotel industry Kal wanted to experience something different that still complemented the hotel investments he managed, so he went to work for Merrill Lynch, learning finance and investments. Working at Merrill Lynch broadened his knowledge and experience. Learning a lot, Kal soon took that knowledge and applied it to the lodging business; growing, expanding, and taking it to the next level. Kal formed a hotel management and development company, by re-assessing the current hotels in their portfolio. Today his company (Image Hotels, Inc.) owns and operates multi hotels. Still growing and expanding Kal is also heavily involved in industry pressure groups such as AH&LA, AAHOA, Chamber of Commerce, Georgia Hospitality and Travel Association, and participation in national events such as the Lodging Conference, and Hotel Investment Conference. Furthermore Kal is on the Young Professional Hoteliers task force committee for AAHOA. Kal is very passionate and committed to the hotel industry and the environment in which the hotels are located. He has received awards and recognitions for lodging accomplishments from industry leaders, franchisors, and municipalities. Starting early in the lodging industry Kal thoroughly understands the hospitality business, and the leading indicators that not only makes the business successful, but most importantly the people that operate the business successful and the consumers that use the business satisfied. |
